One Scoop Is Never Enough!

This month I improvised a song about the Mr. Softee Ice Cream Truck. One of my students spotted a visual I had printed out (for another purpose) on the piano. It ended up turning into an experience that captured the entire group’s attention and by the end of the song, you could hear a pin drop as they all listened closely to my music box.

Lyrics:

I think I hear the ice cream truck

I think I hear the ice cream truck

I think I hear the ice cream truck

It’s driving down my block

I hope that it will stop

Maybe I’ll get one scoop, two scoops, three scoops, four!

Maybe I’ll get five scoops, six scoops, seven, eight, nine, ten

Maybe even more!

Maybe I’ll get chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, or s’mores!

Maybe I’ll get rainbow sherbet, cotton candy

Maybe even more!

You can listen to the song and learn the accompanying gestures on my Instagram.

Here are Amazon links to the music box and the Mr. Softee toy truck.
